Nice screenies Kushan. Is there more to the snow dlc than the visuals (which are pretty stunning)...?  I always struggle with building interchanges, like you pointed out in the one screenie.  They are hard to build, to get the ramps and streets to line up properly. I thought I saw pre-built interchanges as mods in the Steam workshop but haven't used them.

The added a couple of new features to go along with the snow. One of the new features is temperature, I believe it effects all maps but its more of a concern on winter maps. When the temperature drops, usually at night and I think during the new snow storm weather, your sims will require heating. Default way of heating is from electricity, which obviously increases electricity usage when it get colds, or you can build a special sort of insulated water pipe that can carry heating from either one of the new geothermal or oil heating plants.

Another new feature is weather. On snow maps you'll occasionally get a snow storm that will cover your roads with snow and you have to build a snow dump facility which sends out snow plows to clear the roads. Snowy roads wont cause accidents but it does significantly slow the speed of vehicles on the road.

There are a ton of pre-built interchanges on the steam workshop. The modding community for Skylines is amazing. So far really loving this DLC, only complaint is I wish the winter maps where not a land of eternal winter. I would have preferred if they had implemented seasons, where snow melted during the summer then came back.
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall
PanzersEast: but that is thinking too logically.... and Steam Sales are about ignoring Logic

Heavy fog earlier today in Silent Hunter.  Goin' old skewl.

Didn't spot this Japanese Yugumo class destroyer until he popped out of the soup at around 1kyd.  Fearing he'd spot me at any moment, being on the surface, I fired a quick spread and got him.

And another previously unspotted warship began wildly firing on my vicinity before I managed to crash dive.  I think it was so close at that point, it was attempting to ram me.  Must've been the cruiser he was escorting.

Took some damage, but nothing that couldn't be patched up after a few hours.  Besides Aft Tube 8's outer door, which will render it useless until port repair.  I'll also have to be careful about going deep the rest of this patrol since my pressure hull had some leaking in the aft battery section (bad place if it gets flooded due to possible poison gas).

Many of the old DOS games, especially simulations, haven't held up well regarding looks, UI, etc.  But this one has.  I'm enjoying revisiting it's gameplay quite a bit too.  O0

I voted for hosting the Commander's Edition at GOG.  If they can get permission from the Ubi d-bags, which I wouldn't necessarily count on since GOG stuff is DRM-free.  At least.. I'm pretty sure Ubi has the rights to this old SSI sim since they published all the sequels which used it's name.  :-\

ahh good old SH, i spent a LOT of time there with no regrets whatsoever both using standard version of SH and the CE edition with a realism mod. In fact i consider SH1 superior to later versions of SH in regards to some aspects such as the TDC usage which had its own screen, not just accesible thru the periscope/Binocular screen, i also liked the rescue and photo missions.

In a recent flare path at RPS, they ran a very interesting interview with one of the developers of the silent hunter series from Romania. Not sure if he worked on silent hunter I and II, but I know he worked on III through V.

IIRC, the Romanian dev team started on SH3.  Or maybe even SH2, but I'm not sure about that one.

We don't talk about SH2.   :crazy2:  No proper dynamic campaign (all canned missions) and the multi-player, while a superb concept mixed with Destroyer Command game, was buggy as all hell and would often freeze or dump you.

From "Atlantic Fleet". The red line from Graf Spee is indicating that HMS Exeter is being targeted.

That flatland in Switzerland was... it was really, really flat.

In Switzerland.

Going toward Italy.

Possibly I have a mistaken notion of geography in the Swiss / North Italy area...
