So I've been dumping some serious cash into my board game collection lately.

Last couple of weeks I've picked up the following:

Viticulture and Tuscany
Hadara
Terraforming Mars

I also will be picking up Everdell and Wingspan this week as my not so local FLGS has both of them on hold for me.

I think I have a problem.

I have the same problem. I will go months without buying anything...then in a few weeks I'll buy four or five.

My last spree brought in mostly black powder era games:

-Hexasim's Quatre Bras 1815 Last Eagles
-COA's La Bataille des Quatre Bras (because one wargame of a battle is never enough)
-VPG's Jena 20
-GMT's Death Valley - a Great Battles of the Civil War super-game: eight battles
-DVG's Pavlov's House

The GMT end of year sale is coming....my wallet trembles
Johannes "Honus" Wagner
"The Flying Dutchman"
Shortstop: Pittsburgh Pirates 1900-1917
Rated as the 2nd most valuable player of all time by Bill James.

Nefaro

Likewise.

Ordered in last couple weeks:

The Great War Centenary Edition
Thunderstone Quest + Expansion
(both on sale at CSI)

Leaving Earth + Outer Planets expansion
Clank!
Sword & Sorcery Darkness Falls exp.
Hornet Leader

Plus numerous GMT P500s just showed up:
Red Storm
Wing Leader expansion (for #2) and upgrade kit (for #1)

Shit's stackin' up!

Bought 3 Compass games on preorder.

Arrived today: Secrets of the Lost Temple - a pulp adventure cooperative game I'll play with my wife.

so are these investments or games that will actually get played? its easy to buy stuff for PC and never install it or install and play once or twice then move on. these games take actual physical space to keep around! we have a thread on home libraries so maybe a thread to show off your stacks and stacks of boardgames might be in order  :2funny:

Well you can resell a board game vs a pc game, although I have yet to do that.

Added the following to my collection:
Wingspan
Everdell
Tapestry
Food Chain Magnate
7th Continent

For me, all of the games I buy are to play.  Takes a while to get to them all.  I've got two stacks of games.  A big stack of cooperative games to play with my wife and a much smaller stack of wargames.  The wife wants me to get a second drop leaf table so we will always have a cooperative game set up.

And continued to round out the collection:

Ticket to Ride Europe
Planet
Imhotep
Santorini
Arkham Horror TCG
