Excellent news...early adopters through xsolla will get free steam keys!  After Steam early access, they will actually be shutting down xsolla version.

@everyone Great News, Generals!
After long negotiations with Steam, we managed to get Steam keys for all versions purchased on our website. So, in June you will receive an email with Steam keys for the Premium edition. Since the number of keys is limited, we have suspended the sale of the basic version on our website and only left the General Edition.

@everyone Since further development will be moved to Steam and all current players will receive keys to upgrade to Steam, we will eventually stop supporting Xsolla at the end of Steam Early Access. All new features and content will be provided first in Xsolla, and only then on Steam. In other words, the British campaign will be available in the Xsolla version initially.

January-June 1913

Geopolitical
Tensions  with foreign nations, January 1913
Germany   5
Great Britain   2
France      4
Russia      2
Japan      3
Italy      9

Spain:   2
AH   3

In January, I sell superimposed turret technology to Austria.  This is mainly an attempt to improve relations in order to get an alliance, along with basing rights in the Mediterranean.
Worsening tensions with Italy put the US on the brink of war with it by June.  The good news is that tensions with Great Britain lower to 1, making it a potential ally.  Italy has a potential ally in Spain.

USA Political

•   January:  Prestige is 26, Unrest is 3, Fleet Morale: 0
•   May: Reports of grumbling over high taxes to pay for naval expenditures,
•   June: High naval expenditures are brought up by the left-wing party in congress.

Naval Intelligence
•   January: Japan is reported to be building an airbase, indicating they have heavier than air aircraft.
•   January: ONI reports that Germany has invented the "Battle Turn Away" maneuver
•   February: Japan develops 12' rangefinder.
•   June: Blueprints for the battlecruiser IJN Kongo are obtained.

USN Technical Developments

•   July: Ballistic Cap is developed, giving an increase in AP penetration
•   February: USN develops improved AP projectiles, diesel generators and improved longitudinal framing, as well as develops improved 15" guns.
•   March: Aireal bombing from Airships developed
•   March: Gyroscopically controlled fire directors.  Improves fire control in heavy sea states
•   May: TNT warheads developed for torpedoes
•   June: USN develops the superheater, reducing weight by 1%. Concentration Firing is developed, reducing the penalty for multiple ships firing on the same target.

USN Budget
•   January: $589,920
•   June: $606,400 (Increase of 2.7%)

USN Construction
•   January: USS KENTUCKY is commissioned. USS NEW MEXICO and USS CONNECTICUT finish their rebuilds. The airship base in Djibouti is completed.
•   January: Nine STARLING-class corvettes are ordered.
•   March: Base in the Middle Congo completed, increasing basing capacity to 48. Construction begun on 8" gun battery and port capacity improvements to  base at Djibouti.
•   April: Eight medium endurance submarines ordered.
•   April: 6" gun battery completed in Djibouti
•   April: USS NEVADA completes her reconstruction.  USS KENTUCKY completes her work ups.
•   May: Two BURROWS-class DDs, 3 medium range submarines, 10 STARLING-class corvettes ordered.
•   May: Begin construction of an airfield at Da Nang.
•   May: USS SPRINGFIELD is commissioned
•   June: USS RHODE ISLAND is commissioned. A SPRINGFIELD-class CA is ordered.

USN Operations
•   March: Begin transferring of modern fleet units to the Philippines and Indian Ocean IAW WARPLAN GREY.  By the end of June, most fleet units are at, or near their war stations in the Indian Ocean and SE Asia. The USN units transiting the Mediterranean should be out of the area before the start of hostilities.  See the detail below.  Circles are the range circles for amphibious operations, and the bars over the nation flags show the fleet strength.

Other
The talk of high naval expenditures will likely go away once the probable war with Italy starts.  However, if it does not begin, then budget cuts will likely be imposed on the USN.

EU 4 may have been the last computer game I bought in a brick and mortar store.  Walmart, of all places.

The show at Jones Beach, on Long Island? I might be there too. I've got spots in the Law Enforcement section. Its much better. Let me know if you're going to be there.

Might go tomorrow. Will decide later today.
