Currently 8° Celsius (about 46° Fahrenheit), only thing we keep missing is some sunshine (last December was the one with the least amount of sunshine in over 150 years !!).

I've got a flock of Hummingbirds that hang-out here from September through about March before they fly elsewhere. I was afraid the cold snap might kill them but no, at 7:30 AM they promptly showed-up at the feeder for their morning fix. Glad to see the little guys are tough. I never saw it below 33 degrees here so the Weather Guys may have missed it again.

Besides the usual blue jays, we have some chubby little black birds with yellow beaks hanging out on top of our bbq grill. Still alive!

Probably Wrens or Finches. If you could cross-breed them you'd have flying Wrenches.

One of my cats has caught and eaten so many wrens , I'm surprised he's not wiped out the entire population here  :o And I saw a blue jay once in my garden a few winters ago , but it must have been blown off course or something , because we just don't get them here . It's the only blue jay I've ever seen for real . And it was boo-tiful :)
