CNN has just posted an interview with the last surviving member of the Enola Gay. Major "Dutch" van Kirk provides some interesting perspective on his experience.

The video is clearly edited; I wish we could see a full-length take of it. I'll be it's fascinating.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

The edited version is fascinating enough!  Thanks for the link, boss.

Thanks for the link.  Getting to see the Enola Gay this summer up close and personal was great and added to my enjoyment of the interview.

I love going to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum (NASM)'s annex at Washington Dulles International Airport.  Much easier to get to than the Smithsonian in downtown DC.  It is amazing to be able to get as close to the Enola Gay as they let you, especially at the cockpit level (from the outside, of course).  Thanks for the link...

It is one impressive museum, especially now that it has the space shuttle.
