In a fit of political correctness probably instigated by the parent company Disney, the A&E Network lost 49% of their viewership year-over-year since cancelling the show "Live PD."  In key adult demographics the viewership losses are slightly greater.

I've never seen Live PD, but according to the WSJ article it followed the day-to-day activity of police officers in multiple cities on the same day.  Like all previous A&E hits, they have reruns and rebroadcasts multiple times during the week.  Before pulling the show, A&E's viewership was up 4% compared to the same period in 2019.

The flak from A&E told the Wall St. Journal that the drop was "a temporary hit in the ratings" and that it has always been able to "find new hits and reinvent ourselves."
