I saw that footage a couple of weeks back but without explanation. It looked like he was hot dogging. Now I know.

Part of me is quite unhappy he banged up a multi-million dollar helo.

But the other part of me wants to understand that, in a combat zone, guys need to let off steam and sometimes not always in the most sensible of directions.

Wasn't there a similar incident a little while back with a Navy copter being dunked into a lake? Not quite as bad as that, but still banged up the helo pretty good.
