Yeah...wish they'd release this already. The long wait has been torture.

Did these guys end up swapping to the current il2 engine? Is that where the time has gone?

I'm pretty sure Team Fusion is still working on and somehow extending the old CLoD engine...and that takes a lot of work apparently.

CLoD has horrific AI.

That's been one of my issues with even the Team Fusion upgrades to the original CLoD.

I'm curious to know if they've managed to fix that.

You have to get the Blitz version -- but I think that's more or less a free upgrade on steam.  The Blitz CLoD is Team Fusions mod.  You get a flyable Beaufighter for example.

^ yes, I have the blitz version.  I don't think I've even installed it, but it's in my library.  Like 200 other games....   ::)

Speaking of which...apparently this Tobruk thing is going to have boats.

Hot damn! Will it have Rock Hudson driving a tank and blowing-up Rommel's fuel depot? No, probably not. But that would be worth the price of a new Flight Controller.  :dreamer:

What it really needs is James Mason riding around in a SdKfz 250 named 'Greif'.

Better than having funk.  That drives the wargame groupies away.

That one is French (and this one -- the same one actually).  I put it into an Italian Squadron so as to try to shoot it down with a Hurricane II.  It is kinda funny looking, but not often seen in games.

There were 3 versions of it released for the miniatures game, Wings of War/Wings of Glory.  Two French and one Italian.  I have the Italian one and the Thollon one for France.

Not with a Hurricane.  The P-40 Tomahawk can deal with it but the Hurricane seems a bit outclassed.

Those are very cool. Some weird livery on the first two of those models too.

Those look great.

Makes me sad that my scale model Macchi C.205 Veltro I so lovingly built and airbrushed got busted to pieces in my last move.

It is available in War Thunder as a flyable plane in the French tree.  You can also buy it as a premium plane for the Brits but it's not in the Italian tree for some reason.  No idea how it flies as I haven't even started unlocking French stuff.

EDIT:  Looks like they pulled it from the Brit tree in favour of the DB-7 instead.

Nice video.  Still I think the D520 was a match some early war fighters like the Hurricane or the CR 42.   One of the top D520 pilots claimed 5 of each of those in 1940 and 1941.

Which air force(s) was he flying for? French and then Vichy French?

Right, in 1940 he flew for The Third Republic (your basic France) -- downed a total of 5 CR 42.  In 1941, he flew against the British Empire in Lebanon, got 5 Hurricanes (these are claims, mind you, but while the Empire lost quite a few Hurricanes, they only lost one Tomahawk on that front).  Later he died in a P-39 crash flying for the Free French (not yet the 4th Republic)
