Title: Canadian CCV Program

The Forces are looking for a close combat vehicle to support the Lep 2 - sort of a Canadian Bradley. I think it will be real interesting to see what we end up with. Even more bizarre is the fact that just a few years ago we were going to get rid of out tanks !!!!!!!  Now they appear to be a central part of our force make-up.

Here are some of the CCV contenders:

The winner will be whatever company that brings the most jobs to Canada.  I was going to say "Quebec" but the Tories know that they're not going to make much headway there, so I'm thinking Ontario.

Seeing as how BC got the ship contract, you're most likely right.

I'm just shocked, Shocked!!! That the Grizzly doesn't cut it.

We hit the jackpot with ship contract too.  But there are more seats in Ontario.  Oshawa, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Windsor (especially) could really use the jobs.

Say, where do they make Bradleys?

The French CCV option has aluminum armor! I think we need something more survivable given the Afghanistan experience with IEDs.

EDIT: Apparently the CCV program continues to run into trouble with a recent meeting between DND and the 3 competing firms being cancelled on short notice.

Yeah the Timberwolf label is kickass.  Hmmm, how many conservative swing voters are there in New Brunswick?
