Both Baldur's Gate titles and both Icewind Dale titles are on sale, as is Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition and a couple others.

Gah!  I am so very tempted...

I played Icewind Dale 2 and really liked it. You can roll up each PC individually, which makes it far more fun than having a bunch of NPCs following you around.

Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I recommend both Baldurs Gate sets and both Icewind Dale sets. Neverwinter Nights vanilla is just ok but there are loads of user made modules available, many of which are very good.

Lots of gaming goodness there, in fact you might not ever need to buy another game!  ;)

Got 'em all and well worth the coin.  I may never finish them all, but firing them up for a few weeks at a time is just fine with me.  I take a break.  I come back to them.  Better than not having them at all.

They're all 10 bucks again this AM. Was it a one-day thing?
You do get a free copy of Temple of Elemental Evil if you buy one of the others, though.

Edit: NM. It looks like they are doing a two-for-one thing so four games would be just $20. Until 2/27.

I just bought both BG games.  Dammit to hell...

Welcome to the club as GR would say.  ;D

I dunno...the games are nice to have for when your main computer breaks down and you can't play Skyrim anymore, and you're reduced to gaming on your laptop.

But with the plethora of newer games, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to get into games like BG or IWD.  I have ToEE, but I didn't last real long with it before I moved along.

Neverwinter Nights 2 looks a bit better, but I haven't spent any time with it yet to really judge.

I have the same problem. Upon reinstalling most of my older games, I wind up getting bored with them and uninstalling them. Its a combination of the "been there, done that" syndrome and as you stated there are so many new games out there to be played.

For me, the difference is that I've never played either of the Baldur's Gate games.  (Heresy, I know!)  So for me, it'll still be a new experience.

Baldur's Gate has at least one easter egg in it. On one map there is one pixel where you'll find some secret treasure. That's all I'll say with regard to spoilers. It's worth googling to figure out, if you're so inclined.

I tried like hell but could never find that stash. You need at least one good thief-character to open and dis-arm things and scouting ahead using hide-in-the-shadows works great too.

I did, but it took randomly clicking all over the map for over five minutes.
