Yep. As Wing noted, the USN version has been heavily modified. Mainly to make it carrier capable.

It's remarkable how much the F-7 and F-8 look alike while being so different.

Also, note the Sidewinders mounted to the side of the fuselage of the F-8. You don't see that every day.

It is an unusual mount point. The British Lightning had a similar set up.
