You know that you live in a small country with an insignificant navy when....  ::)

At least we now know that one of the three subs can actually sail.
Any time is a good time for pie.

I thought about inserting some kind of joke here, but it just didn't seem necessary.

Something like: a sub without torpedoes is as funny as a sub with a screen door or something.

Yeah, but it's ok if I say it, 'cause I'm a Canadian.  So I said it, 'cause it's true.

It's too bad that the Victorias have been such a bust. By most accounts, they were highly capable subs when the Brits first built them (as the Upholder-class). They must have been very badly maintained between decommissioning and the sale to Canada.

I hear they actually plan on using these things under water at some point - probably another few years or so.  Between these subs and the F-35 people should be scared of us in about 15 - 20 years from now !  ;)

I believe the plan is called: "Operation Artificial Coral Reef"

:o ;) ;D :( >:( :-[

Here's hoping it doesn't catch fire when they put it in the water.

It didn't.  It's tied-up alongside the jetty as of yesterday.

I just had an image flashing through my mind of the Kaiser during WWI, and how after building those magnificent ships he refused to send them out to do battle for fear of losing them.
