Read this -  new Littoral ship class, can't fight aircraft, ships, subs or missiles! The ship was designed for wars like the Iraq War, where there was no need to worry about threats from aircraft, ships, or coastal missile batteries. And by ordering 52 of them, the Navy was effectively guaranteeing that a sixth of its fleet would be made up of sitting ducks for those sorts of attacks. Wow, and I though the British Navy was in trouble.

Yeah. That's the replacement for all the Figs. This is why Burkes are being tasked for duties normally handled by frigates.

The old Oliver Perry FFG's weren't that good to begin with (too slow) but, to replace them with something worst is un-beliveable. When will the military ever learn a weapon platform that tries to be everything (Swiss Army Knife approach) never works. Building more Burke's (DDG's) will likely end up being cheaper than trying to fix this dog.  We'll end up with a new FF/FFG that cost more than a Cruiser and does less.
