Hi
I have been a regular at Matrix. I am basically a PC war gamer. The last Board game I played was 23 years ago, Gettysburg ,if I remember correctly. Was always a problem finding someone to play against.
Lived south suburbs of Chicago. At 23 years old went to school in Europe. Never returned to Chicago but lived in several locations after graduation.
I am now a resident of Las Vegas (many years later).

I noticed references to Origins. In all the time its be going have you ever played with the idea of holding it in Las Vegas?

Barthheart

Hey Zap. Welcome to the funhouse.

As for Origins.... we don't get a say in where that happens, (it'll always be in Columbus?), we just get to setup a wee booth and try to get people to play with us.  :D

zap

Hi Barthheart,

I was unsure what this sights relationship was to Origins. Tell me then, yours is a booth for exactly what? In other words what is your goal in being there.

bayonetbrant

Welcome!

We don't run Origins.  We just run one of the wargaming programs there.  GAMA runs Origins, and they've committed to keeping it in Columbus for the foreseeable future as it's within 1-day drive of like 65% of the US population.

GAMA does run the GAMA Trade Show in Las Vegas every year.  Not exactly the same thing, but still might be fun for you check out some time.  It's usually in the Spring.  You can find info at gama.org

They must of been thinking something nice about you as they giggled.
Actually, my username is taken from the first 3 letters of my last name. I'm 2nd generation polish. You can imagine the last name might be a little hard to pronounce. So for the sake of ease all friends nicknamed my brothers and myself zap starting back in grade school.

Sir Slash

Zap it is then.
