Yooper

Hello, I've been enjoying the podcast and figured I'd finally poke my head in and say hello.

I'm an engineer by day, and military science fiction novelist / grognard by night. Lately I've been playing a lot of War in the East. I also enjoyed Command Ops 2, Combat Mission : Black Sea, CK2, Dwarf Fortress, and my mistress, EVE.

At my day job I do a lot of work instructions so I've found a niche in making wargames more accessible. Particularly War in the East, where I'm active on the Steam forums with a guide and also on my website.

My first grognard game was V for Victory, Velikiye Luki.

You're welcome!

To be honest I'm not terribly good at WitE. The tutorials are an effort to force myself to learn the mechanics of the game to a point that I can explain it to others. It really is a very well done game, it just needs some help to get over that learning hump.

I wish titaniumtrout had a story behind it, some witty bit of prose, but alas, it just sounded good.

Welcome Trout... or is it TT... better choose one 'cause yer name will get shortened a lot around here... we're lazy that way.

Where "Up North" are you? I'm in the Great White North's capitol.

Ahhh... so still one of those southerners then.  ;)

Sir Slash

Welcome indeed TitaniumTrout to the Grogs. My wife and I were in the UP back in 2006 and what a lovely place it is. The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum is a must see for anyone heading that way. Great to have you with us.
