I've been wanting a Tiger for the last couple of years and I've hummed and I've haaaa'd over what one to get time and time again. In the end, I decided on an early version and Tamiya because I use Tamiya paints...and I don't like having to "convert" when I get another manufacturer

Nice one, JD.

Many years ago, I had the Tamiya 1/24 scale Tiger I, Panther and Jagd Panther. The Tiger I was an excellent model with a lot of interior detail, and metal torsion bar suspension. They all had individual track links, although in plastic, not metal. Somewhere, I think I have some photo's.

Unfortunately, they all suffered from the ravages of time, especially during the move from one home to another.

Yeah - it looks like a nicely detailed kit.

I'll open it up tonight or tomorrow and get some pics up of the sprues

Nice kit!

If you need some photos related to Tiger #332 you can find a few here:

Note the double Balkenkreuzen on the back of the turret as mentioned on the site.

Nice rubber tracks and nice touch with how they've moulded them to take account of the drop between the front wheel and first road wheel.
I'm not a fan of those "build your own kits" tracks and NO - I'm not interested in spending £10 on metal tracks  :knuppel2:

And there you go. As with ALL my models, I'm really looking forward to building this - but it'll have it's place in my ever growing backlog of model kits  :smitten:

Nice kit!

If you need some photos related to Tiger #332 you can find a few here:

Note the double Balkenkreuzen on the back of the turret as mentioned on the site.

3 Famo 18's if you have them, please.

Sorry, can only spare 2 at the moment... but I'll throw in a motorbike, ok?

I'm embarrassed to say (as a wargamer, on a wargamer's forum and as a casual history buff) that I did not know what Balkenkreuz was and had to look it up.

Oh - the shame!  :-[

3 Famo 18's if you have them, please.

Sorry, can only spare 2 at the moment... but I'll throw in a motorbike, ok?

What?  No electric motor?  Even my waltzing Matilda from 1978 had an electric motor.   ;)

A bit late to the party, but did you get this one finished yet? I didn't see it on your shelves in the Flanker post...

No - I wasn't making any progress until the Flanker was done - which took a year. So all models bought were to add to my stash - including this one.

I don't know where it'll fit in because the stash I have (what it is) is full of great models all of which I'm eager to build.

Cheers, so Leo next? Looks good.

I've got a 1:35 StuG III Ausf G by Dragon sitting on its box, I've sprayed the external parts with dunkelgelb as a base paint, but got stuck. It's been five years, I need to finish it. I plan to convert it into a Finnish Stu-40 with the tri-color came, should look the part if I ever finish it. After that a 1:72 Ju-88 is waiting.

I haven't done any models since my teen years, apart a few ones I built with kids. I let them do all the work, and am immensely proud of myself of not finishing it for them.

I did help with one of their Brewster Buffalo paint job a bit, we did it after a one they recovered from a bottom of a lake so made it look like it's indeed under water for 75 years. But that's it  O:-)

lmao

More like a few stints during the first year and then four years on the shelf, looking accusingly down at me.  :hide:

I'll get it done though, one of these years...
