The real question is how 3D the terrain, and hence LOS computations, are.

And if they are, what kind of map editor is provided. 3D editing is always an adventure.

Quote from: Skoop on October 05, 2024, 02:51:21 PMI can see what you guys are saying about the graphics.  Me personally, I think they are fine, huge upgrade from AB1 that was 2D top down.  I think the strength of this one is the shear amount of units and the replay ability with the dynamic campaign / map generator.  Definitely like the improvements in this new version.

The graphics are fine for me. Game is looking good in my book.

The game looks like it's trying to simulate napoleonic miniatures.  When you zoom out the map looks like it's a tabletop in someone's house.  Even the scale reminds me of the YouTubes of guys playing napoleon table top miniatures.  The graphics are good enough that having an active pause and larger scale battles could have made this worth a play.

Hard-hitting combat footage.  It took me a moment to realize that the blurred out spots in the video that said "censored" were dead bodies.

As you suggest, the voice-over is a bit fanboyish.  While it's clearly intended as a PR piece, it still gives an awfully good feel for what life is like at the front lines as a team goes about trying to clear trenches.  Thanks for sharing.

It's amazing how people with such cute sounding names sound normal when you hear them talk.
Snugglebunny has done a youtube video of a battle. Looks kinda cool. Another hex disadvantage became clear to me though, you cannot form a proper straight line.
