Computer Gaming / Re: Campaign Series Vietnam
Last post by Jason Petho - Today at 03:36:20 PM
A brief overview about what is going on with the Campaign Series before we dove into the nasty fighting for the villages. Even with the off shore bombardments, this was a tough nut to crack. Block by block we attempted to push through the village, clearing the North Vietnamese troops. Alas, they were dug in like Alabama tics, and we suffered some serious casualties as we pushed into the chaos. Good times, but a doozy indeed.

Do you like DW2 compared to DW1? I see a lot of disagreements here...

Kind of inarguably the greatest AD&D video game to date... is an EU4 supermod conversion!

William SRD has a lot of great history-of-a-game videos, but this is just a video about what he's been playing on the side for the past three years.

It was the slots promotion that made me instantly suss, including promoting someone with "strategy" for pulling a lever or pushing a button. (I suppose there could be betting unit strategies. I don't play slots, I prefer games I have to actually think about: blackjack, craps, maybe roulette, pai gow, let it ride, etc. But I don't go to casinos often, haven't done so in maybe 10 yeas.)

What surprised me was the lack of links, but that's explained now.  :pirate:

Anyway, I'm playing a number of mp games like AoW:Planetfall (about to lose an mp campaign there, but started a new 4p campaign on a "conquered" map against a more powerful NPC); Andean Abyss and Time of Crisis (on Rally the Troops); Liberty or Death, and Fire in the Lake (on Vassal); and on single player I've been chewing along my first Darkness Falls mod-campaign for 7 Days to Die. Though really the Friday thread works for this topic just as well.

A common theme is to post a bunch of on-topic stuff without spam and then later change the signature to include spam. That way it magically appears under all past posts all at once.

There was a second post with links to casino type games. I deleted it. I kept this one because it's actually not a bad thread idea.

Quote from: JasonPratt on Yesterday at 02:15:12 PMI noticed in a lore review before SM2's release, that the recent 90s FPS action throwback Boltgun has a plot connecting back to SM1 and forward to SM2. For whatever that may be worth.  :Nerd:
Wow. I did not know that. Bolt gun was good fun in a doom sorta way. Enjoyed that as well.

Space Marine 1 as per above had a good story snd so does Space Marine 2. I'd rather have a story that is cliche than some sort of whacky modern revisionist retcon of the lore for the sake of not repeating the same thing.
