I'm sure this tutorial playlist has been shared in one of our many HOI IV threads, but I've been going through them one buy one and playing along with Games with Brains. Its a very helpful refresher and I'm picking up things that I did not already appreciate.

Unfortunately, he is playing with all DLCs disabled so it is just the vanilla game, but I'm feeling that by the time I'm finished with the series, I will have a very solid understanding of the core mechanics, intricacies of the UI, tips and strategies.

Thanks for this -these are excellent. Even after clocking 1,715 hours of playing time, I'm still learning something.

^Yeah I feel the same way.  Hoi is insanely detailed, every time I fire it up I see something new.  The what if history is what hooked my son.  He wanted to do a play through where the Kaiser leads Germany and not hitler.  So he set it up in hoi.

The next HOI 4 DLC has been announced: Götterdämmerung and it's out on November 14th. Some comments are calling it the 'Wolfenstein' expansion.

-Special Projects: development of experimental technology and super-weapons

-Raids: precision strikes against specific targets like major oil fields, dams, experimental facilities

-The Inner Circle: people at the head of the Nazi party can rise and challenge the leadership

-Reichskommissariats rework

-Austria, Hungary, Belgium, Germany, Congo Focus Tree expansions with alternate history options
