Dark Souls III and Fallen Enchantress, maybe re-start Dying Light. 'Tis the beginning of spooky season, after all.

^Let me know what you think about Dark Souls III.

Although I'm a big Dark Souls fan I did not get the third iteration of this franchise.

As an aside and props to those Dark Souls community members who know where I'm coming from I will proudly say "Prepare to Cry!"

Continuing my playthrough of Encased which I am still enjoying, and desperately trying to getting up to speed with Field of Glory 2 Medieval which I finally caved in and bought yesterday as the new Digital League season is imminent and I am going to enter a team in the High medieval section for the first time along with my usual hapless entries in the Ancients sections.

Researching Atom RPG and Trudograd the follow up as they may be my next buys.

^Field of Glory II: Swords and Scimitars comes out next week! I have received feedback from a few peeps here that Atom is not so great. YMMV.

IIRC I tried the original Dark Souls on PC years ago, got my ass handed to me and never looked back.

However, I did finish Star Wars: Fallen Order which I did read is very 'souls' like, so perhaps hope springs eternal? I have also read that recent AssCreed games have 'soulsy' combat...

BoC ?

I'm going to try Age of Wonders Planetfall (premium edition) for the first time.

I also have Fallen Enchantress that I never started up before so that might be another option.

Battletech Advanced 3062.

That sounds pretty advanced.  I'm going to be playing Enlisted -- the all-new Tunisian Campaign with motorcycles and Enfield IIIs with very nice bayonets.

That would be twisted.

Dark Souls III is the best of the trilogy imo.  It takes the better elements of 1 and foregoes the mistakes of 2 while still making the overall experience a bit streamlined but still more interesting.

Dunno what I'll play this weekend, I installed Prey after having bought it ages ago due to the sparkling reviews, but never played it.  I'll also probably hop on my Insurgency co-op server (SithAdmin's Server) for some shooty bang bang.

Congrats Slash!   <:-)

Gonna fire up Dark Souls III right now - have some unexpected free time.

Prey has been on my list forever as well...have not bought it yet.

Stay away from The Wife Slash until we have this sorted out.

Fallen Enchantress.
Maybe some Rule the Waves.
Wife went to Houston for a wedding shower, so I am bachelorizing. Been married 38 years and she still has not dumped me. Go figure.

I don't have a game controller so I am playing with keyboard + mouse in Dark Souls...I figured out most of the controls but can't for the life of me figure out how to read any of the in-game messages. Anyone have a hint? None of the keys I've tried so far work.

Ended up playing through Bloodwash.  Great little indie horror game with a sorta PS1 Silent Hill / Resident Evil aesthetic.  The first part is sort of a walking simulator with atmosphere building and clue finding, and the second part has you getting chased by a knife-brandishing maniac in a dark basement.  Unlike most horror games, you actually have a gun and the point is to kill the monster -- not just run away.  I beat the game in about an hour, but it was a nice little horror experience.  A few minor jumpscares, but it's not like Five Nights at Freddy's where that's what the game is based all around.

Had a nice week doing bridge stuff in the lovely north country of NC but zero - absolute zero - internet capacity at the hotel.  Fellow can only watch so much Hallmark Channel and enjoy Baileys before he wants to blow some stuff up.

Anyhoo, back at the homestead and currently downloading the public test server stuff for World of Warships, so looking forward to that as well as focusing on the Recon missions in World of Tanks.  Seems I'm back with the ol' girls for a bit before I wander off to other games again.

Have fun folks, and see you out there.

Playing some RogueTech, Aragami 2 and DCS...new update and dicking around with the F-104 Starfighter mod.

How is Aragami 2? I liked the first one.

Tried Dark Souls III for about an hour and got tired of wrestling with the controls. Also became disenchanted with a Fallen Enchantress - just looks very dated to my eyes. Got bored with Dying Light too. Maybe entering a funk?

So I installed Outlast 2 (loved the first one) and Phasmaphobia. Thinking of buying a Crusader Kings III as well.

It could be worse than that Gus. Since we're both short and married the same year.....could we actually be the same person?  :o  If so, then it's your turn to mow the grass this week.
