Looking forward to this one next year, Super Hero x-com type game that involves past people from the Freedom Force days. You can also play a quick demo but doesn't release until 2023 sometime.

For me, superhero games need a license. I just can't get into generic hero A fighting generic villain B. :D

Did you try the demo?

Only had a small amount of time playing. It had the xcom vibe as I would expect, but did like how movement and action points were separate. My heros died pretty quickly as I didn't have a great handle on how use everything. Certainly will keep an eye on it although it seems with all releases nowadays it will get delayed so who knows when in 2023 or later we will see it. In December, marvel midnight suns come out and also looking forward to that one which is also xcom like.

Release date is may 29th. Likely around 39.99 as for consoles can already pre order for that price

I'm guessing there is no mod'ing in this game? Love to see Marvel & DC characters some alive in this :)

On discord they said no plans for mod support. Personally kind of tired of all the typical marvel and dc characters so I am ok playing as generic characters.

I am the complete opposite. I cannot generate any interest at all in a generic superhero game. If it is not characters or a universe with which I am familiar, I'll just move on to something else.

Basically, nostalgia is the only thing that keeps me interested in the genre at this point in my life.
