Sunrise off Syria, April 8, 1799

I don't think I've done miniatures much since the 1980s.  Anyway, here is my first run in Sails of Glory
at 1/1000 scale with makeshift seas and sky.

In the scene, Courageuse, en flute (ie rigged to carry cargo mostly and not armed with most of her guns) encounters a Royal Navy frigate off Syria.  Historically, despite being mostly unarmed, Courageuse captured a gunboat on the 9th, but I suspect (having been knocked around badly in the first exchange of fire), she will not ahistorically make it to the 9th under French command.
