My grandparents had a cat that lived to be 22. They got her in 1984 as a newborn kitten but she outlived both my grandparents.

It's humbling to think that if I adopt another long-lived kitten it could out-live me.

the snowbirds are out in epic force already.  so while the weather is mostly great I expect every drive to end in disaster.  in the last 2 weeks Ive had at least a dozen serious close calls.  these honors have been split evenly between NY and Penn plates....
