......okay not gonna lie, I have an unreasonable lust to get all three of the WW1 '14 games and use the grand campaign option to tie them together...
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

I'd be up for playing that...it would take five years to finish, but I'm up for it...

It would be a team game...or maybe just a relay game...where we passed the baton if we got tired.

"Serbia '14 provides multiple play options including play against the computer AI, Play by E-mail (PBEM), LAN & Internet "live" play as well as two player hot seat."

"Three Grand Campaign scenarios designed to be played along with Grand Campaigns scenarios for France '14 and East Prussia '14, which are intended to establish context and allow the player influence the outcome of the war across many different scenarios (102 to 389 turns)"

I have all three games. Like all WDS games, there are extensive and very interesting notes with each game that give details of the scenarios; for example, East Prussia '14 has 180 pages of notes. In fact, with some of the WDS games, the notes are so extensive with analytical coverage of the subject campaign, that the notes alone justify the cost of the game (IMHO).

Each the WWI game's notes have a 10+ page section dedicated to the "Grand Campaign."

Here are the first two paragraphs of the "Grand Campaign" section of East Prussia '14:

"The "Grand Campaign" is a series of scenarios that are intended to be played in sequence,
with the result of each deciding which scenario to play next and, eventually, collectively
deciding the outcome of the war. All Grand Campaign scenarios are intended to be
played as head-to-head with another player (or as a team game with a group of players).

The goal of the Grand Campaign is to provide a fun way to explore the history of the war
by providing influential outcomes, continuity and, occasionally through the use of the
Strategy and Operations feature, some historically based decision making. The intent is
that the players feel as if they are working towards an overall objective rather than just
playing a series of otherwise unrelated scenarios, and to allow some a-historical "what-if"
situations to be explored where certain decisions can carry far reaching consequences. "

Anyway, if someone has the games, and wants to try, I am up for getting it started. I will probably not finish it, but can hand it off, relay style when we get to that point. Also, team games are supported.

We can post progress on a thread.

Well I for one am enjoying chewing through the designer notes of the first game (with the next designer notes queued up in reserve already), since all the docs are freely available from the website.

It does drive home that, ironically, it might be easier to play WW1Gold or (ideally) WW1Cent by mail instead!  :Nerd:  :Nerd:  :Nerd:
