@Bismarck (aka Jim Cobb): Thanks for your preview at WG. I have a question about the game. Is there an option to use NTDS symbols on the 2D maps or is it just the symbols shown in the screenshots?

That is a fine question. 

I'd be a bit surprised if it didn't have an NTDS option.

I don't see the option, but this is still in Beta. I'll send a note to the devs asking for clarification.

Anything else you'd like to know while I'm asking?

Well, you ask the gaming dude (me) and I contact Paradox. I've had the beta for a couple of weeks and have played with it, but for some reason I thought the embargo went until Friday - it didn't; it lifted yesterday.

So there ya go. Shall I ask for a code for you?

I like boats!

I wonder how newbie friendly this one will be. I never got into Harpoon because it was a bit obtuse and the UI was "special." NWAC looks to have a much easier to understand UI.

Thanks, LB. I can't think of anything else right now. After seeing some screenshots and watching a couple of game play videos, the NTDS question popped into my head. Not a big thing I guess, but I've become so accustomed to them in other games over the years that it's actually easier for me to read a 2D display that way.

Thanks, Bismarck. It would be a nice option, but it's hardly a deal breaker. I'm very excited about the game.
