This game looks very interesting.  Those ship stats in the first post give me some great ideas for use in my personal mods.

This is definitely disheartening news to hear.  No doubt companies are going to rely on AI to create video games, thus eliminating the need for human skills.

Not sure if changed or dependent on the developer, but testing for Matrix/Slitherine, don't believe I ever got a free game after testing, although I think in most cases did get a decent discount.

There was some show and tell today about the Iraqi's, I've been making some really good progress on them. There was some news and I fired up a recommended scenario to play to see how it goes. We started with Alan Arvold's Valley of Tears scenario "Opening Moves". I thought it would be a tricky scenario at the beginning as the long range guns of the Israeli tanks was making life a living he-double-hockey sticks. Then I noticed a flaw in the Israeli defences and exploited it. Muhahahaha!

Trade jobs might be pretty future proof right now.  Doing skilled labor will be valuable, and there will be a ton of jobs available.

Even pilot industry, people say AI will replace pilots, but with life safety at risk, there will always be a fully trained man in the loop flying airliners.  There just might only be 1 pilot instead of 2.

AI will be bad for computer nerds but great for blue collar joes.

Microsoft closed several more studios, including Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks.  Arkane Austin was behind the huge blunder that was Redfall so it makes sense, but Tango is just baffling.  Hi-Fi Rush was highly acclaimed by critics and lauded as a success by MS leadership, and they were also behind the Evil Within series which is fairly popular.

And apparently they're still not done.

To be honest, I just don't see why anybody would bother trying to break into the games industry at this point.  It's clearly in the middle of a massive implosion, and if folks with decades of experience are getting laid off left and right, what hope is there for someone trying to forge a sustainable career?

Israel now controls the border crossing into Egypt at Rafah.

Forces are prepping for the final push south into the 'joint' area of Rafah (I mean where Gaza, Egypt, and Israel meet, I don't know the proper local name), where the final local Hamas forces are holed up with their remaining hostages and human shields.

Also, forces are prepping for a ground invasion into Lebanon!  Might as well take the opportunity to make a clean sweep! -- although I don't know what the operational goals would be (other than opportunity body counts against Hez.)
