I have that one, but I have had trouble getting comfortable with setting up my controls. Just hasn't appealed to me. Reviews are very positive so I keep trying, but always come away disappointed.

I have the control setup problem with IL-2 1946, specifically the rudder pedals.

Very annoying, I was looking forward to it.

For most games the Trustmaster T1600 Throttle with the small 'Toggle Rudder' works great for me.

The game isn't displaying an axis to assign.

I'm not sure whether that's supposed to come from a mod or what.

In the controls settings, it's all listed.  There's one for rudder, click and move your rudder axis and it will recognize it.  If it doesn't, test it it Windows.
