Was just coming to post about this, but was ninja'd by AT by many hours.  I may actually have to go see this one.

Looking forward to this one.  I don't know if this was a joke going around, but apparently the nuclear explosion won't be CGI?

It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge.  War endures.  As well ask men what they think of stone.  War was always here.  Before man was, war waited for him.  The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner.  That is the way it was and will be.  That way and not some other way.

If they made nothing but WWII games, I'd be perfectly content.  Hypothetical matchups from alternate history 1980s, asymmetrical US-bashes-some-3rd world guerillas, or minor wars between Upper Bumblescum and outer Kaboomistan hold no appeal for me.

I guess it's sort of nice that the word "tactical" seems to refer to some kind of seriousness during your moments of mental clarity.

No joke.  It's a practical effect with a fuel air bomb, mostly gasoline with a TNT core.  The explosion was the equivalent of 70 tons of TNT all said and done.

They brightened it to blinding levels by coating the entire device in a huge amount of magnesium.

The rest of making the explosion look the proper size was done with camera tricks.

Yeah, this movie's going to be lit.

Does it disturb anyone else that SirAndrew knows so much about explosions?

It would probably be more disturbing if I didn't know so much about explosions.

I do have enough black powder in my storage to probably land me on more watch lists than I'm already on.

I see then. Please consider anything offensive I've ever said to you as withdrawn immediately.

Lucky bastard.

One of my fellow history major college buddy of mine said this was Nolan's best.

Can't wait to see what you think.
