I will only add to the possum discussion:

1.) We have our own dang squirrels here in the south, thank you very much. (In fact we have a few albino squirrels in my little town, although Kenton a few miles north is who is famous for them.) Possums are NOT substitutes for squirrels. They are much, much nastier.

2.) Here in the south, our possums are sometimes armored. I mean more than regular possums. (See: armadillos, of which we have some in West TN.)
