I was going to comment on the general "dumbing down" of the populace, especially in the US.
Talking to my grandchildren about their subjects in school makes me want to cry.  They don't
even teach cursive writing anymore.  When did this happen?  Very depressing in general.

Totally non surprising to me, believe strategy players always have been in the minority compared to the other genres.....

It is too bad that they only give fluffy numbers.

I would be interested to know whether the absolute number of gamers with an interest in strategy stayed the same, and this groups lower percentage is caused by casual gamers joining the gaming market.

Quote from: Jason Petho on May 21, 2024, 09:08:01 AMWe are releasing the CSVN 1.31 UPDATE soon and it will include some of the Tet scenarios I've been working on and it will open up the OOB's to 1985.

Best news of the day.  Really looking forward to it.

Apparently in conjunction with Grogs Staff I did a review of Homeworld3 on the front page ;)
https://grogheads.com/review/21339#more-21339

I missed a few things though as expected only a week out. One was that you cannot save in skirmish mode that I have seen. In fact I need to check if you can save in any mode but the campaign.

You have to play HW1,2 and 3 remastered in order btw rss334. The story is sequential. I'd play Deserts of Kharak campaign AFTER HW1 and 2. Pretty much in order of game production.

There is also a spin off that is non canon called cataclysm which now sells under homeworld emergence on GOG. They lost the source code so it is in the original homeworld1 graphics.
