Relic is solo again. Parting from SEGA. Fingers crossed we lose all the baggage and get down to business proper. Perhaps some of the ridiculousness of the past 10yrs will be reversed. DOW3 I am lookin at you. COH3 you are better but need a shot in the arm badly.
Perhaps SEGA will let CA loose now and we might get back the old Total WAR!!! We might even get some new features and start back at shogun2 afresh.

I haven't read any of the press, but who gets the licenses to the IP?

It doesn't address it specifically, but the press release does say they will continue to support their titles, including CoH3, so it would appear they are keeping their existing licenses.
