We should also bear in mind that these troops have to be aware of the fact that one, or more, of these 'tourists' could in fact be someone who wants to do them harm. In some respects, they are sitting ducks for terrorist attacks.

How often do the guards have to tussle with members of the public? Considering the millions of folks who go to look there have to be at least a few asshats every week.
