I like warno too, I'll probably get the gold.

Des, if you're a stickler on realism, have tried the combat mission series ?  They've got a Cold War module, and there definitely ain't no hit points on the armor.

Although I know some prefer to trust the negative over the positive, a number of the reviews had good things to say and even the video above.  Not at all saying it is or will be a great game for everyone, but if anyone enjoys this stuff, not really a lot of options and not overly expensive.

I'll pick up at some point when I get fully in the campaign mood.

Démo sur Steam de ce titre médiéval au tour par tour qui se déroule en France pendant la guerre de 100 ans. Des cinématiques divertissantes et horribles après chaque combat. Sorti le 7 mars. Je pense qu'il a beaucoup de potentiel.

Quote from: Jarhead0331 on Today at 08:19:39 AMWhat do you think? Are you going to upgrade to Gold? Hard to resist. The airborne/air assault nemesis DLC sounds great too.
I will probably upgrade. It's a solid game already and now that there is a map making tool I am sure even Eugen will find it easier to release maps. Maps variety was always a problem for Steel Division 2. But the problem they had with SD2 and not wanting to import the SD1 normandy maps so that the game files size on disk did not become too big was still a problem. It's probably why the devs have already said this game is only about the same kind of area in Europe. Even though we will have map variety, we may not have texture variety. Not a major deal, but consider how many regions red dragon represented. It had desert and asiatic jungle/paddy field maps. I always thought the price tag for WARNO early access was well placed at half the AAA price for a game. Now if you want gold you will be paying AAA prices now WARNO has proved itself through early access.

Still don't like tank hitpoints though and ranges although close are still a little abstracted to balance things a bit. But overall it's pretty realistic and does a good job of suspending my disbelief.

7 reviews, I always check out the negative reviews first as those tend to be the most helpful and easiest to see if they are legit or spam.  Based on this one I think I'm going to pass.  I've never played 2016 version but sounds like that would be the one to pickup.

"I still feel like the 2016 version was way better.
In 2020 they dumbed everything down, and they still didn't recover from that decision.
Okay, you can play the primaries, but the general election still feels very shallow compared to what the game was 8 or 12 years ago. The political operatives are random cards now, same goes for the lobby groups you need to win. It feels like gambling, instead of a game where your decisions matter.
And oh yea: it's hard to win if Joe Biden has almost zero stamina."

Todays post is a "must read" for anyone interested in squad level wargaming, which we cover in our Squad Battles series of games. We're releasing an updated (and expanded) version of our FREE demo for this series - Grenada - and the blog post talks specifics about tactics needed to be a successful Squad Battles player.
