Yeah, he served his time and they let him out. Just in time to be in Expendables 3. He even had an awesome self-depreciating line in it which made me respect him all the more.

'Here at NASA we all pee the same color.'  Al Harrison from the movie Hidden Figures.

Hate to disappoint but those 1,000 advanced tickets sold was just me clicking on the Senior Discount Ticket button. I wanted to make sure I got my 50 cents off.  :hide:
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

Avowedly "alt-right" internet commenter "Black Pigeon" suggests trolling the radical left with memeing and macro-posting Black Panther as an alt-right icon as the film hits internationally.

While that's a somewhat valid interpretation of his character throughout the decades, I'd be more interested in seeing an essay on how the character idealizes the terrorist gang "Black Panthers" at the juxtoposition between fascism and socialism.

I made the mistake of doing a search using "Black Panther movie" and "SJW" and found some sh*tstorm threads where people are arguing wholeheartedly about appropriating African culture, and "continental Africans" versus "diasporic Africans"...people can't just relax and enjoy a movie, for chrissakes.

JudgeDredd

I'm going to see it tonight.

To be honest, with all the bullshit that goes with movies nowadays (and I'm talking about both sides of the fence), I'll just keep my impressions to myself.

I'd definitely be interested in your opinion, JD. It'll probably be a week or two before I can get to the theater to see it. I don't care what people think, I'm going to check it out regardless. I like the character, myself.

Quoteattract the attention of those who enjoy comic books, as well as those don't really like them.

This.  I've never gotten into the comics, nor has anyone else in my family.  But my daughter has let it me know we will be going to see the MCU movies.  I've never heard her show any interest in the DC movies.  Wonder Women in on HBO now.  I'll see if I can get her to watch it sometime.  I haven't seen it yet either.

If you don't share your impressions, I'll have Bob come down and still your models!   :tickedoff:

^ Yeah! Make those things sit still! That'll show 'em!

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.
