With the holidays approaching, the perennial question facing Grogs is what to give friends who don't play games?
This annually insoluble problem never ends.
So to start with the potential gifts, here is the Jewish Wisdom Ball:

A Jewish wisdom ball in my house growing up was my mother telling me round and round to become a doctor or a lawyer.
:2funny:
My wisdom balls have never failed me.
Thought they were on the mantle next to the dog's....
Correct. They still haven't let me down...

I would've said wife's purse.
Good bottle of scotch for friends that partake in the nectar of the gods.
Beyond that depends on the person.
All of my friends drink or eat sausage.
Problem solved.

I hear Time-Shares in the Florida panhandle are going for next to nothing right now. The gift that works for people you like and don't like. :P
Wait, Grogs have friends? :D
I have lots of friends. Unfortunately, they're all people in Skyrim.... but, that counts doesn't it? :o

Maybe we have the same 'friends' ?

I don't know, they don't look very friendly. Maybe it's just the lighting.
I like it like that. YEAH BABY
^^ And then they turn into werewolves. :timeout: :wow:

I need new friends.
In somewhat seriousness, the friends I do have cigars will usually appease.

I can't imagine drinking sausage is all that healthy ;)
Make mine a double-brat on the rocks. :bd:
Another great, Groggy Christmas gift, and offered just in time!

...uh, still not a euphamism?! :o
This year I'm giving my semi-Groggy Bro (who actually got me into wargaming many decades ago, but who hasn't been able to do much multiplayer or even wargaming since the daughters started arriving :'( ) a collection of books narrating the German side of various Western Front operations: Fall Weiss, Normandy, Market-Garden, and the Bulge.
I'm still missing some entries to fill out my own collection in that, and possibly his collection for future years: Norway; Lowlands and France; Greece; North Africa; Sicily and Italy. (Though the latters would be the Southern Front I suppose.)

I like my women like I like my coffee....and I like my coffee to throw me up against the wall, slap me around a few times and tussle. These look like fine candidates 8)
One of the Williams sisters perhaps?

The associative side of my mind just fetched back the classic quip from Mystery Science 3000's version of "It Conquered the World", as the family is gathering for dinner: "This steak is so tough it got up and beat the hell out of the coffee, and the coffee was too weak to defend itself!"
Tough steak and weak coffee....sounds like McDonald's for dinner tonight, kids 8)
Strongest coffee I ever had was in Israel. When you went to add cream, it didn't mix with the coffee, it just stayed on top of it. :o Like some kind of science experiment.
Okay, I want to give that coffee to my sister-in-law! :bd:
The Turkish coffee had grounds floating in it.
It's like the coffee version of orange juice with the pulp.

Turkish coffee is awesome - but you don't drink it to the dregs.
Sorry for getting back on topic. Saw this in an ad while surfing this morning. Perfect for your medieval Groghead Christmas gift!

Who could go wrong at Christmas by buying a Grog a new 'Dongle Mitten'? :bd: I prefer the cotton to the wool myself-- less chafing.
