Anet has announced new content for Guild Wars 2 will be released every two weeks.

I've already gotten my monies worth out of GW2 and would like to see a real expansion pack but, can't complain about new content. Most of the events just like dailies allow you to complete only a set number of the events to complete, only doing the content you like most of the time.

Duffy's is a great place to keep up with new content, with guides on new content.

Does the new content involve reworking the boring skill system?
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall
PanzersEast: but that is thinking too logically.... and Steam Sales are about ignoring Logic

Indeed, if they would return to the skill collecting system of 1, paired with the new tournament feature I would come back without hesitation.
Deeper character skill set mechanics, or lack thereof, is whats keeping me.

However, if pilots would need to do daily what they are capable of doing, nobody would dare to fly anymore."

GW2 is not GW1 and I don't think the skills are boring, have you ever tired to re-configure your character?  Re-built characters (use trainers) of the same professions can play completely differently. It's finding the right configuration of Skills, Traits, Weapons, Armor, Runes, Sigils, Accessories, plus food to give you the Power, Critical hits, Armor, Health and Conditional damage do what you want, play the way you want.

Ever use the build editor.
