I watched this last night. The film was so-so over-all but it had some fantastic scenes of Mosquitoes conducting a low level raid over Copenhagen in poor weather.
It's based on a true story. In March '45, the Gestapo in Denmark was getting dangerously close to unravelling the entire Danish resistance network. The RAF was reluctantly convinced by Danish members of the SOE to conduct a raid on the Gestapo HQ building in Copenhagen even though prisoners were being used as human shields.
The film is available on Netflix now. It's called the
Shadow in my Eye or
The Bombardment depending on your region.
I watched it as The Bombardment last year. Very good movie. Somewhat depressing but very well done. And don't let the opening scene scare you away.
Me as well. Not a great movie, but not a bad one either. I'd like to see more of same type.
