It is a trick to get the beveling just right in Photoshop (or whatever) when doing mountains/hills.  If not done properly, sitting on one side of the board and you get what looks like a bump but from the other side, it looks like a depression.  This map doesn't appear to have that issue (turning my laptop all around to look at it from different angles).

I think that's a layer function in PS. You have to be sure that whatever you're beveling is on it's own layer because otherwise it will apply to everything...it's a pain in the hindquarters sometimes if you're not paying attention to where you're copying/pasting stuff.

So just finished off my gaming table... well almost. It's been very slow but I got some impetus over the holidays and an up coming gaming weekend here so I pushed on to it's current state.

I started with some pine 2x6's and 1/2 plywood. Legs are maple posts.



It sat like this for more than  year as I gamed on it.  :D
This weekend I added the maple trim o wanted to create the inner part of the table.



Then I stained all the maple parts.
Then today I picked up my awesome ProMatz gaming mat and fit it to the table. Just love the look.



The next project is to make the 4 piece top that can cover the table so I can play games on the inside and the outside without too much tear down.  O0

Oh and here are 2 games added to the collection today. Thanks again to Staggerwing for Jutland.  :bd:



Wing Leader is in a 3" deep box! Can't wait to bust it open.  <:-)
