Got them on

Took excess track off, removed two wheels (they're not glued on anyway), put the track round and used a hot nail to melt the protruding bits onto the holes they came through.

It looks kind of ropey - as in it doesn't look like it would last too long - but it is going to just sit there.

Well it is a Trumpeter kit  :)

The Challengers do carry external fuel tanks on the rear. I don't know about the hull.
