Just had a look Again at a couple of films I think you Guys should check out.
First is The Ninth legion; a russian film about a platoon of soviet volunteers in Afghanistan in the later part of the war.
The second is Johnny Mad dog; an independent film about a bunch of african child soldiers.
Both seems to give a very honest and brutal view of the life of the involved characters. Oh and dont expect any Hollywood type heroes either.
btw seems Armadillo is on netflix now, atleast here in Denmark so if you Guys wants to check up on a doku on the Danish soldiers in Afghanistan you might want to give it a go too.
I saw the Ninth Legion and it was very good. Machinegun Preacher was a surprisingly good film about African children being exploited in war.
