While looking for some information about Lichdom: Battle Mage, I found a review by SocioPsycho on the Steam forums. It influenced me enough that I decided not to purchase the game.

Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.

Alien: Isolation no longer 66% off at Gamersgate or wherever I saw it yesterday but forgot to post about yet at least didn't break more of my resolution not to buy new games with anyway.

I suppose that could be taken as news that A:I has reached the 66% off stage on sales now, so we may see it again for a spring sale soon. :)

www.gog.com has many of the best indy RPGs of the last decade on deep discount this week.  Since I've played pretty much all of them - I recommend the following (all for around $2.50 to $5.00)

Avadon: The Black Fortress
Avadon 2: The Corruption
Geneforge Saga
Avernum: The Complete Saga
Avernum: Escape from the Pit
Eschalon Book 2 (don't buy book 1 or 3).

You could pick up all of these for less than $20 total and have indy RPG goodness for several years of play.
