For one week, all of your posts must be in the form of a haiku

His words fill the screen
Obscure topics, random thoughts
Too long didn't read.

A J-Pratt challenge
would be to make all your posts
books for a week. (... ....... drat!)
Snuffleupagus
That was one drugged out Muppet
So are some Pratt posts
I like turtles.
Gus likes the turtles
Even though they sometimes snap
He does not like pants
Early Friday morn
Thinking of Haiku to do
Gus' and Pratt's mom
This is my favorite haiku ever from a junior high school friend who is now a pro poker player. I loved it at 12 and now still at 43 because he just doesn't give an f:
Winter is coming
Birds are dying
Now we can dissect
Winter is coming
Birds are dying
Toonces wears his Uggs
My favorite was this bit in a National Lampoon magazine's "Letters to the Editor" section. That was easily my favorite part of the entire magazine.
A December morn
The summer sailors shiver
A nip in the air
^No Uggs?
Probably some verb
al ones. et cetera, et
cetera, ad hoc.
Snow in winter wind
Toes snug in toasty Uggs
Sip of scotch eases the pain
This was the winner from the Space Ghost Coast to Coast Contest:
I hope I don't win.
The Rules say bring a friend.
I don't have any.
^lol. Brilliant!
I contemplate my scotch
Like Ugg boots for the soul
Elixir of the gods
Toonces has feels
Drunk posting at 2am
He fucking hates snow
Scotch Scotch Scotch Scotch Scotch
Scotch Scotch Scotch Scotch Scotch Scotch
Scotch Scotch Scotch Scotch Bourbon
bbmike, haiku master
internet winner of the day
drool shorts out my keyboard
Two co-workers say
EagleRare better than Buffalo Trace
Tonight I will find out

perfect in form and also
topically apt. (http://grogheads.com/forums/index.php?topic=21475.msg588364#msg588364) O0

Is Haiku not meant
to be of syllables five
Then seven, then five?
^You get my vote for the win, Stagger :bd:
Oi, guv'nah, give us
Five quid fer th' fruit machine

I have good news! -- you keep having to recheck because the syllables didn't add up that time. ;) :nerd:
^^Oh damn! I was counting check as 2 syllables :idiot2:
Let me edit my masterpiece for ya ;D
Check check check recheck
I'm safe. Oh damn check recheck
Check check check recheck
I shall.. Uhm.. Check recheck my syllables better next time ;D well spotted JP O0 And now our Ocd can go into over drive with the extra word count :crazy2:
Now, see, if you lived here in the South US, I'd have no problem believing "check" could have two syllables! -- especially from a lady's southern accent. (The nieces, particularly the youngest, are very amusing along that line, as to how many syllables they'll stretch a word into.)
Irish accents, I wouldn't have guessed at "check" being multi-syllable! :))
