In the same vein as Honest Trailers-
These things continue to crack me up
I love Honest Trailers. One of my favorites is
Guardians of the Galaxy, a movie that they clearly like:
That's my show all right. Protocol!
The Arrow / Flash / Supergirl / LegTom team routinely throws out increasingly comic-accurate big-name characters. (Or anyway pretty big for comic fans.) (Granted Supergirl is a different continuity, but still.)
SHIELD got... uh... Mr. Hyde and his daughter. And didn't strictly let him turn into Hyde.
And Graviton...'s origin story, but not Graviton.
Sif and Lorilee were admittedly up to par. And once they got past the surprise identity, DaisyQuake has been relatively up to par.
Oh right. This is out on disc now, huh.
I may get a cheap Blu someday, because I'm a completist and therefore insane. The first Bond movie I've skipped in theaters since I was old enough to drive to a theater, though.
I'm so glad I didn't watch Spectre beyond the first 10 minutes. What a pile of crap.
Yeah, it was pretty bland. Not as bad as Skyfall but really, how could it be?

I like Daniel Craig in the role, but other than Casino Royale his Bond movies haven't been great.
I did like Skyfall. Casino Royale was by far the best one of his, though, agreed.
I thought Casino Royale was great and I think I'm one of the few people who liked Quantum of Solace but I really disliked Skyfall.

I didn't make it all the way through Quantam. I fell asleep and didn't bother to rewatch what I missed.
Skyfall was okay, but it's far from my favorite Bond film. I'm in no hurry to see Spectre.
I don't know many people that actually liked George Lazenby in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but I'm one of the likers.
I'm one of the few people who liked Timothy Dalton as Bond. Living Daylights is one of my favorite movies in the entire series.

+1. Really enjoyed that one, too.
I didn't want to like Dalton. AT ALL. I was thinking at the time that Brosnan would make a better Bond. And after several Brosnan films, I think Dalton was the better 007.
They offered Bond to Dalton when Connery stepped down from the role. Dalton declined it, thinking he was too young for the part at that time.
I'm apparently one of the few people that actually likes QoS -- it helps to look at it as the kick-ass hour-and-a-half finale to a four-hour Bond origin movie. But I agree the shaky cam action is harsh.
I like watching Skyfall, but the film's plot structure bothers me, and I miss David Arnold as the composer.
I want to like Spectre, but I have concerns. I'll go into it with super-low expectations eventually. I think the same cinemetographer was helping the same director, so it ought to look great.
Heh, yeah that's about right. (I say this as a fan; I own it.)
This seems hugely relevant.
Batman v Superman, Honest Trailer-style!
I'm of a mind to make some moogy.
(And to point out that, really they're going to make an HT of both those other films eventually anyway. :)) )
Nothing however can compare with Comicsalliance's CINEMATIC BATMANOLOGY! (Which they didn't return to for The Dark Knight Rises, ostensibly the reason they were doing the recap commentary and criticism to begin with.)

Prepare to lose your day.
Love it!
My first impression of the Deadpool Honest Trailer was it being way too spastic & scattered. :(
I LOVE Deadpool! :2funny:
The Cinemas Sins crew just did this, too! What, is there a new one on the way?? (Oh, the Big Freaking Gun... Giant. Friendly Giant. ...this connection means nothing to me.)
I seem to be in the minority about it, but like Jaws 2 a lot, too. Practically everyone but Spielberg returns; the writers do a good job working out the implications of "another giant shark" (and the mayor puts his job on the line vouching for Brody); John Williams' score is actually better than the first movie -- the action scenes are staged well. The shark looks the best for any killer shark movie that I can think of. "I GOT SOMETHING FOR YOU NOW!" I watched J2 before ever watching J1, back when I was a kid, and that was the best finale I had ever seen to a movie! It still chokes me up a bit with awesomeness. (Yep, I like it better than J1's finale, as great as that is.)
My Blu-ray didn't arrive in time, and I am annoyed. TOMORROW! TOMORROW! I'll watch it (and by "it" I mean the Ultimate Edition)... tomorrow... it's only... a {sniffle} DAAAYY
AWAAAAAAYYY!{note to self: work on the timing of that delivery}
Until then, Honest Trailers presents:
Fans v Batman v Superman v Critics v Other Fans v Executives v Zach Snyder v Expectations: Can't Do Them All Justice(: Ultimate Edition): 300 MinutesFeaturing a numbered checklist for Luthor's plan, which is almost as long as my explanation but which makes considerably less sense when it's spelled out like that, pheh. ::)
Wait, wait, wait, sorry -- that wasn't the Ultimate Edition of the Honest Trailer, only about the Ultimate Edition of the movie.
The Ultimate Edition of the Ultimate Edition Trailer ("longer than the actual fight between Batman and Superman!") can be found here at the Screen Junkies site: http://www.screenjunkies.com/video/honest-trailers-batman-v-superman-ultimate-edition-3036310?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=youtube&utm_campaign=BvSendcard

Worth watching for the Rorshach prison scene and maybe some brief Comedian bits.
Other than that... meh so-so.
I'd never read the graphic novel before...it was pretty mind-blowing. I had to read the lengthy text bits in between the chapters, too, for the class. But it was very much worth it.
Visually, the Watchmen movie was stunning. But as mirth said, it felt more like work. And the dong-shots were only brief and few in the comic, but Zack had them go to down on them CGI bits. :buck2:
I liked the movie but was afraid Nixon would flash his dong too before the end. "I am not a crook. But I am a Dick. Dick Nixon". ;D

You can thank the studio's Chinese viewer & translation friendliness method for that. It was obviously created with overseas consumption squarely in mind. Where it's far easier to please moviegoers with CGI explosions, thin plot, and dull generic jokes.
I totally get pandering to the Chinese market, as there's literally hundreds of millions of dollars potentially to be made, there...but not at the expense of logic (even if it is movie logic) within a story. It's very much ruining movies.
The original ID was a decent flick; I was visiting family in San Antonio and saw it with a friend. Liked it so much I told my family that I was visiting about it, and they wanted to see it, so I saw it again the next day at another theater.
I gotta wonder if big actors see themselves in these movies and cringe in their seats at all, even with a ridiculously gigantic paycheck and an entire subset of the media fully dedicated to everything they wear, eat, and do reporting on them like they're demi-gods. I guess it's easy for those actors to get wrapped up in that reality and forget and not give two shites.
Remember what Marx said, "When it comes time to hang the Capitalists, Hollywood will make a movie about it and try to make money off it in China". :nerd:

So sorry to hear that. I had no idea. Was she killed or did she commit suicide? Or..... did he just...lose her... to a Musk Ox? :'(
They were meeting at midnight under the old oak tree. The Musk Ox got there first and she mistook it for Mirth. Hilarity ensued! <:-)

So you didn't like Spiderman: Homecoming, but you did like Power Rangers...smh
Probably more so because I was expecting a lot from Homecoming, and exactly squat from Power Rangers.
Power Rangers has sucked for 25 years so I can't argue with your logic.

^^ I love that movie like cake, but they are not wrong. WOOOO!
True story, my best friend and I went to the opening weekend... omg 20 years ago... and the film self-destructed five minutes from the end when one of the speedboats was destructively ramping a police boat. Which we thought was appropriate albeit disappointing!
(The manager gave everyone a free ticket so we came back the next day to watch it again, enjoyed it just as much the next time. :bd: )
Too bad JW hasn't done much since his awesome Red Cliff duology several years ago. Hope his health is okay.
That was better than the movie by a Saturday-Night Mile.
Come with me to a place where everything that

...that line from the review sounded so different in my head before I typed it out... :wow: :timeout:
Edited to add: filled with critiques from the director himself!! -- unlike when he complained about CinemaSins, I guess.
He's basically Gorilla Batman, right? :DD
The director is still wrong about the helicopter numbers working out though. There's ONE large helicopter coming out of the back of the ship. And enough room underneath for the same number as on the deck (assuming more are tucked in there.) He should have just had more cargo ships.
Ballsy for him to contribute though -- I'd do that, too! More directors should. O0

Uh huh. I'm not unwilling to be convinced, but point to more convincing in that 30 minute interview. ;) "You paid money to see Kong beat the hell out of a bunch of helicopters," is not a defense for where those copters suddenly teleported in from. At best there should have been two or three more establishing shots.
The director and HT both also kind of forgot about the storm around the island -- exactly like the movie frequently does, from its opening shots onward. ;)
That said, I love the movie, and I'm sad to hear that the director won't be returning for more Toho Monsterverse installments.
The helicopter math was the least of my problems with the movie.
I may never get tired of the accidental trailer without the sfx and only a few random ADRs. AAAHHH AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH. :DD
I thought Kong was a great movie. Hope there's more in that vein upcoming.
The Mummy was...okay. Was nowhere near good but it wasn't terrible. The whole time I'm watching it I can't help but keep thinking of the Brendan Frasier meme:

I started watching Wonder Woman but stopped about 1/3-1/2 or so through to do something else, and wasn't nearly motivated enough to go back and watch it. It was supremely average.
Kong was good, but it had some major flaws. Sam Jackson and John C Reilly kept it afloat.
Wonder Woman was an average superhero movie, but for DC that's pretty good. Gal Gadot is damn near perfect in the role.
I wouldn't see the new Mummy movie if you paid me.

I like Tom Cruise as an actor, but that movie looked terrible, the reviews were terrible...
Oh, he's impressed me at times. He's had a few good movies in recent memory. Then again, there's The Mummy, where he was easily the weakest link in the chain.
Would have made more sense to do something around Fraser, even if he has aged/put on a few pounds.
