GG's also got Call of Juarez: Gunslinger on sale.  I'm not a fan of westerns but I loved this game.  Fun shooter with some great voice acting, some cool game concepts, and collectible history cards.

Guys, guys! Did you know that "Task Force 1942", is "the first in a new series of spectacular World War II Pacific War simulations from MicroProse"??!?!11?

Also, available on Steam now for $7 (or $5.24 initially).

I was pretty excited about this until I read the Steam Reviews.  Sounds like the ship recognition DRM is still in place, and it does not look like they distributed the manual.  So basically unplayable if true.

No problem. If there is no manual included I can always scan it for you. I have the original game on floppies.

I vaguely remember the old Defender of the Crown.   Being damned frustrating.

And perhaps the Sindbad game.  IIRC, my sister was completely addicted to it when we were young.   Hrmm..

Whoa, talk about a blast from the past.  I loved Defender of the Crown on my Apple IIGS. Such a fun game. Although the dueling was as I recall really hard.  Sieges also got monotonous as you memorized how many 'clicks' of the catapult to listen for in order to hit certain sections of the castle.  Loved sending plague and 'greek fire' over the walls. no option to catapult cows, however.

Still, what a gem of a game, back in the day --
