A couple questions:

1) Isn't the engine originally from Fallout 2?  Or something similarly old?

2) Hasn't this thing been in development for about six or eight years?  And it's still not close to being finished? 


I've spied it on occasion but the glacial pace of development and some of the zealous indie hype has thrown up some flags for me.  Too good to ever be truly finished?

1) No, it's based on the engine that was originally made for Tribes 2, and was used for many games since (I forgot its name).

2) Yep. This has been in "development" for many many years. Only recently the devs actually started to put some work into it.
