They've got better songs than that.  But no, I generally don't mind big-hair booming chorus 80s metal at all

In one of those odd pairings that occasionally happens, I saw Girlschool open for Deep Purple in the late 80's.

My doctor wrote me a prescription for daily sex.

My wife insists that it says dyslexia but what does she know.

As long as you're around, I'll never have to worry about being the oldest guy in the room ;)

I love Girlschool.  The first time I heard them (probably around 1980) they were billed as the "female Motorhead" and, at least for a while, they lived up to that billing.  Their early singles and the first 3 (or maybe 4) albums are essential.  If you've never heard the split EP they did with Motorhead, you've missed out.

I saw them play in a bar Fayetteville NC (right outside of Fort Bragg) in the early 90s.  The show was awesome, but the scene was dismal.  There couldn't have been more than 50 people there, and my buddy and I were the only ones who actually stood in front of the stage.  On the upside, it was like having them play in your living room.  We joked with them between every song (and I apologized for our lame-ass town).  A fantastic show from a fantastic band.

Here a a few (of many) favorites:

I covered Spin Doctors at a show on campus back in '93 or so.  Fun gig

At it's peak, the coolest radio station I've ever heard.  Our Friday night was often dominated by Chainsaw Rock and vast quantities of malt beverages.  Good times!

bayonetbrant

When I was there, Friday night was always Friday Night Request Rock, and Chainsaw Rock was on Saturday :)

Andy (see podcast above) used to do the Chainsaw show a lot.  He and I were on Fridays leading up to FNRR.  We had Backtrax and the weekly countdown.

theres a lot of elements from different styles in this one.

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Martok

^  Hadn't heard that one before.  Good tune-age.
