Shit, MD. Zappa, AND Young and Mitchell? You just get cooler and cooler.  :)

This circle jerk must be broken

My doctor wrote me a prescription for daily sex.

My wife insists that it says dyslexia but what does she know.

I saw Primus 3 times - opening for Rush on the Roll The Bones tour, solo headlining a club tour, and Lollapalooza III.  I cover them on the GrogCast with Andy when we talk music for an hour.

That's some good tune-age, budd.  O0

This is something you'll almost never hear me say, but I could watch this video just for the guy dancing.  He's got some serious moves (would that I had even half his style & grace):

"Like we need an excuse to drink to anything..." - Banzai_Cat
"I like to think of it not as an excuse but more like Pavlovian Response." - Sir Slash

"At our ages, they all look like jailbait." - mirth

"If we had lines here that would have crossed all of them. For the 1,077,986th time." - Gusington

"Government is so expensive that it should at least be entertaining." - airboy

"As long as there's bacon, everything will be all right." - Toonces

Black Keys are great  O0

I'm sure it's been posted like three times in this thread already but just in case anyone missed it:

I also recently discovered the Kongos, from (iirc) South Africa:

(The last one recently incongruously popped up in a Universal Studios resort ad.)

Nothing really rocks and nothing really rolls and nothing's ever worth the cost...

"Don't you look at me that way..." -the Abyss

... this will go down on your permanent record... -the Violent Femmes, 'Kiss Off'-

"I'm not just anyone, I'm not just anyone-
I got my time machine, got my 'electronic dream!"
-Sonic Reducer, -Dead Boys

Kongos are actually currently based in Arizona, where they graduated high school, but of South African heritage.

Well The Kongos certainly are not your run-of-the-mill alt-rock bunch, that's for sure. Between the percussion-heavy sound and the accordion licks they certainly hold your attention.
