We already had a pretty dark modern live-action remake of Pan. The nieces love it; not sure they've ever even seen Pan53.

The synopsis for the Pan prequel sounds trite as hell:

Now that I read it, I remember that I already knew this was coming and had promptly forgotten its existence.  :P
