The games are different enough and at $10 it is worth the purchase.  I will still continue to play FE:LH even though I also own AOW3.

If DRM is a concern, Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes is Steam-only while Age of Wonders III is available either DRM-Free or with Steam DRM. With Steam's auto-patching, it's kind of a toss-up.
Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.

AoW3 is much prettier and the battle system is a lot cooler.  However, overall I enjoy FE:LH more:  It's deeper, has better AI, and boasts greater customization & replayability. 

That being said, both are good games in my experience.  I don't regret owning either one.

I just purchased FE:LE and used blue coins to get the Dead World DLC. I am looking forward to some fantasy 4x gaming. To bad there is no multiplayer but I guess no game is perfect.
