Well...out watching X-Men tonight again and I've got Scotland in the Park in Colchester on Sunday - so I have to make the most of tonight and tomorrow for gaming.
I intend to try and test some of the AI options in Ultimate General to see if there really are 9 levels (I might not try ALL 9 - maybe just the extreme opposite levels).
I want to race F1 2013 to take my first ever completed career closer to that goal by racing the next race - Monza
And finally some more Wolfenstein:The New Order
If I get some spare time, I'll probably fire up Elite:Dangerous again. I do need to understand how to get money though. My small attempts at generating coin have resulted in losses from which I possibly won't recover from.
Too many games so little time....
Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm 2.04 beta testing
Rise of Nations: extended edition
Diablo 3
Possible purchase and play of Wargame: Red Dragon, Ultimate General: Gettsyburg, and/or DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3
Possibly spend some more time playing with WITP and the tutorial scenario before hopping over to WITP:AE
Possibly spend some time playing some of the WITE scenarios
And somehow get some time with my current Distant Worlds campaign
Distant Worlds Universe is going to be my main focus. I have an AAR to start now that I've got my custom theme more or less dialed in. I also have some DWU modding of my own I want to do. First thing on my list is to see if I can get a single ship image to represent more then one ship. As long as players can get over that some ships will be maneuvering in perfect formation with another, I think it could make battles feel a little larger then they are.
Kerbal Space Program I think I have just about mastered getting to and landing on Minmus, next up is to land a kerbal on Mun.
Wasteland 2, Crusader Kings 2, and Command are possible time fillers.
I predict much outrage from Metal Dog when he see's you beat him to creating the Friday thread again....
Airship Dragoon. Just bought this bugger.
wargame red dragon. Just bought this bugger as well.
John Tiller Modern Campaigns. Just started a massive monster 160 turn campaign covering the whole of West Germany (and Austria).
Distant Worlds Universe. Continue unfinished campaign.
X-Plane 10. Make one flight and work on my airport project.
From this list I will probably be doing just one of them.
In between the World Cup matches I am going to have some fun with:
Elder Scrolls Online
Final Fantasy XIV
Distant Worlds Universe
and I am restarting my learning of WitP AE again.
So many WITP starters lately. I canceled my attempt because of the John Tiller monster campaign.
Not sure how much gaming i will do as there's the World Cup of Soccer now.... :D
- I hope to get the next turn in my pbem of Storm over the Pacific . I am trying to invade Singapour, finish the Communist China and really, really have to locate those US Carriers that are bugging me.
- Empire Earth III....started my first world domination campaign. Not sure if i'll replay that game much but i want to play at least one full campaign.
- Horizon: Humans in Space....playing until the next election....
Flying to Belgium on Sunday but between now and then i hope to be playing:-
The Last Federation and its AAR
some GTA IV which im ashamed to admit im enjoying immensely
Some CMBS Beta map designing
and some CKII
Rise of Nations:EE, Rebuild:Gangs of Deadsville, and I may go back to getting my butt kicked in the Long War mod for XCOM:EW
Sadly, I am out of town attending my uncle's funeral but hope to continue my ETW campaign when I return Sunday. I have had a number of ship explode under fire - starting to feel like Beatty at Jutland.

are you aaring sergeants?
On deck- some Rise of Nations EE tutorials (though I never liked click-fest RTS); possibly try 7 Cities of Gold; maybe try to figure out where to start with WitP:AE and play a few more turns of my Civ4: Colonization game.
The Carriers at War thread has me jonesing for something in the PTO so I may play around with Carrier Strike a bit more. Got it sorta running in Win7/XP Mode, but may play around with it in DosBox. The graphics may be a bit too rough for my ageing eyes, so may end up with Carriers at War or even Storm over the Pacific. Other than that probably Distant Worlds: Universe and may some Kerbal Space Program.
Distant Worlds.
CaW and SWTOR
Checking out the great Summer sales at GOG and Gamersgate. Then Russia only needs Warsaw and Georgia for a Empire Total War campaign win. Peter the Great will become Peter the Victorious at last. And all the rest of Europe will look like this-- :buck2:

and I am restarting my learning of WitP AE again.
I'm always restarting my learning in WitPAE -- mysteriously I'm doing okay in my PBEM game. This just makes me absolutely certain that something terrible is going to happen soon. It's May 1942. The Japs are out there with about 9 carriers of one kind or another. But I did parachute some Australians into an advanced base and other sneaky things.
And what else? Saints in Armour (boardgame -- with muskets and pikes) and Maybe some Rome II or something.
My condolences for your uncle, Shelldrake.
I plan on taking all of Iberia as Carthage in my ongoing Rome 2 Hannibal at the Gates campaign. Carthage has some rocking units...really enjoying this campaign. Once Iberia is secure, I will take the rest of North Africa. Then...on to Italy :)
Also trying to resist the pull of Wolfenstein and patiently waiting for Valiant Hearts: The Great War to drop...so I can cry myself to sleep again thinking of the total tragedy the First World War was. I'm sensitive like that.
HOI3 as USA and Distant Worlds.
Sorry to hear about your uncle, Shelldrake.
I'll be continuing my return to BF4 as I decide whether or not to pony up for the Premium Content pack and get all the expansions (current and future). I'm also going to try to at least load up and try a few games which have sat installed for a while. I like to clear the decks as much as possible before the Steam summer sale, and that apparently cranks up next week.
Sorry to hear about your uncle, Shelldrake. Best wishes.
Not sure what I'll do this weekend; am currently feeling kind of listless, and not just in terms of gaming. I did pick up Civilization V: Complete in a Steam sale a few days back, so I may play that. (Or maybe Distant Worlds: Universe. Or Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes. Or Rome II. Or Armada 2526 Supernova. Or Crusader Kings 2. Or none of them; we'll see...)
Wasteland 2 for me this weekend (August release date, I'm in early access). Hopefully some Simcity 2013. There's an atoll that needs some growin'. . .

I got excited for a second as I thought you were talking about Hannibal: Rome vs Carthage (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/234/hannibal-rome-vs-carthage). I've gotten into this recently and it's a great game. Almost all of my gaming has been boardgaming online vs other people. No PC games have been good enough to pull me back in some time.
I plan on playing a Civ5 Game of the Month - TSG68. Also, RoN EE and hopefully, finally, I'll get going on Distant Worlds Universe.
Sorry Uber.
Arbeit.
Sadly, Arbeit hat mich nicht frei gemacht.
Definitely hasn't for me.

I'll try to remember to take lots of pics of the next game tomorrow and turn it into an AAR.
So far I've done 3 games with complete newbies and they all love the game. Easy to teach and they pick it up after a couple of turns.
Greta fun being here.... Y'all need to come next year!
I am tentatively doing just that. I just have to bump a few more people off on the seniority list above me to secure the dates for Origins.

Kerbal Space Program I think I have just about mastered getting to and landing on Minmus, next up is to land a kerbal on Mun.
Been debating starting up some KSP again. But I may start using either my joystick or just using MechJeb to jockey the stick for me next time. I managed a rough fully-manual landing on Minmus last year, with just mouse & keyboard, but it was rough. I think the building & planning is the most fun anyway, so I will probably convert next time I fire it up. ^-^
As for this weekend:
I just picked up
Wargame: Red Dragon so I'll probably be checking it out sometime soon, if not this weekend.
Others:
War Thunder Ground Forces
WitP-AE and/or
Carriers At WarMarvel Heroes Online if I feel like simple SMASH.
Some
HPS Campaigns or
TOME are my "go-tos" for when I want to relax with some turn-based thinking.
On the table:
Also played some more
Sentinels of the Multiverse yesterday and had my three heroes stomped by Citizen Dawn & her minions in the 'Something Primalis' dino-land environment. That now makes me want to try try again. :) However, I may bust out a different solitaire-capable game next, like
Patton's Best,
B-29 Superfortress,
Darkest Night, or a slew of other choices. Some of which I haven't even played yet.
It's a nice change of pace when I get into an indecisive funk on which PC game I want to play. O0
Finally got a chance to finish the Heart of the Swarm campaign for SCII. I really enjoyed the story line of both this campaign and wings of liberty. I am looking forward to how they wrap it up with the Protoss campaign.
At airport now.... my plane to Brussels has propellers, I have flown this plane in war thunder
Before I'm lost over the north sea I managed this weekend to mainly play gta 4, the last federation and endless legend
Geek, with his Biggles helmet - silk scarf blowing in the wind.....
.....and that was just in the taxi going to the airport........
LOL. I can just see him with his head sticking out the cab's passenger window. ;D

^Perfect!
lmao - (a)live from Brussels despite some awesome turbulence that made a few scream
Judging from the pic above, the Flight Attendant heard your distress and managed to calm you down again.
2 fine austrian ladies in charge of the flight - unfortunately that wasnt the uniform!
I didn't play what I expected this weekend.
Flew a ton of BMS Falcon Israel Theater and have the start of an AAR going.
I also played a bunch of Rising Storm. I didn't expect to play that this weekend, but it's a great pick-up game when I don't have something else in mind.
I booted up CK2, but it was too much of a brain burn so I didn't get much into it.
Going to the beach today, but if I have some time I might fly some more BMS or Wings of Flanders Field (which I also played some of this weekend!).
This might be more appropriate for the TBT (http://grogheads.com/forums/index.php?topic=10049.msg255364#msg255364) thread, but I spent most of this afternoon fighting the Japanese at Midway. Had much more fun with Carrier Strike than I would have thought. Got it up and running under Win7 using Dosbox Frontend Reloaded with no problems. Only issue I had was with the poor showing of the F4F Wildcats against the Zeroes :-\. My airstrikes seemed to do about as well with the fighters as without them...
My list in the first page totally ignored. Spintires came out and spent a lot of time rolling in the mud.
We spent all our time chilling at the Wargaming Central Command at Origins, be-yotches!

I SO DESPERATELY WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE! :'(
But as a consolation prize I kicked my
Darkest Hour: WW1 Russia campaign into gear.
(It wasn't much of a consolation prize. Russia starts off DH in terrible shape. :buck2: )
